Camera Scanning Feature

The Learn Recycle app may include a camera scanning feature to help users identify items and learn where they may belong in recycling, waste or organics categories. Camera access is optional and requires device permission.

Learn Recycle does not use camera access to identify children
Learn Recycle does not use camera access to collect personal information for advertising purposes
Scan results and recycling guidance should be treated as general learning support, not official recycling advice

Accounts, Analytics and Advertising

Learn Recycle does not require users to create an account to use the app
Learn Recycle does not currently use Firebase or analytics tools
Learn Recycle does not include third-party advertising

If accounts, analytics, Firebase, classroom dashboards, school logins or other tracking-related features are introduced in the future, our Privacy Policy and relevant app store information will be updated.

Free Access and Paid Features

Learn Recycle is currently free to download and use. The app does not require paid subscriptions and does not include in-app purchases.

If paid features, school accounts, premium tools, subscriptions or in-app purchases are introduced in the future, the terms relating to those features will be clearly explained before users choose to access them.

Accuracy of Information

We aim to provide useful, practical and educational recycling information. However, recycling systems and rules can change over time and may differ between locations.

Learn Recycle does not guarantee that every recycling instruction, item category, scan result or learning response will be correct for every location or council area. Where accuracy is important, users should confirm recycling instructions with their local council, school, waste provider or relevant authority.

All Learn Recycle content, branding, logos, designs, text, graphics, app screens, educational materials, website content and other materials are owned by or licensed to Learn Recycle unless otherwise stated.

You may use Learn Recycle for personal, educational and classroom learning purposes. You must not copy, reproduce, sell, modify, distribute, publish or commercially use Learn Recycle content without written permission.

Schools and educators may share Learn Recycle with students for educational purposes, provided the content is not altered, resold or presented as another organisation’s own work.
